Our Scout Group cannot successfully operate without a large number of adult supporters. In addition to the Scout Leaders who take on the majority of event and activity organisation, there is a core of parents who support our activities.
My heartfelt thanks goes out to all of the adult supporters who help and contribute to making Tyler Scouts the success that it is.
However, there is always need for more help; even if you can only spare a couple of hours and month, there will almost certainly a role that you can help with. Typical roles we need help with are;
Activity Planning – there are many activities within the district and county programmes that we do not offer, simply becuase we do not have the leader capacity.
Administration – and specifcally someone to look after this website!
Camps – the camps we offer require a great deal of adult support to make them safe and enjoyable.
New Leaders – the troop has 4 leaders currently, delivering Scouting to 30+ Scouts; we really need some additional Assistant Scout Leaders to share the workload and help deliver a safe enjoyable programme.
Parent Rota – We ask that all parents sign up to the parent roat (firstname.lastname@example.org) – many of our events just need extra people to ‘keep an eye out’ and this is where the parent rota is invaluable.
If you are able to help in any capacity, please do speak to any one of the leaders, and for more information, take a look at:
